Interject your personality into the profile and keep your experience shorter than you would on a resume. This is a social network after all! Keep it personal but professional and bring a spirit of contribution to each interaction you are part of.”

Following people on the network before connecting with them can help you find out more about the contact and enable you to personalize your message further, allowing you to connect with the right people.
